Vincent Sarafa joined Bruin Sports Capital in February 2015 as an Associate. In his role, Sarafa works closely with Bruin’s executive management team to identify and evaluate potential investments and acquisitions. Sarafa supports various aspects of due diligence and legal process of acquisitions in addition to assessing quality of earnings and financial risk.
Prior to joining Bruin, Sarafa was an Associate at Deloitte where he was responsible for assisting clients with acquisitions, divestitures and consideration of other strategic options. Sarafa advised on a variety of transactions in the mining, industrials, paper and packaging and technology sectors. He advised clients on divestitures in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa and has advised on over 70 mergers and acquisitions transactions representing approximately $3 billion in transaction value through domestic and cross-border engagements.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Sarafa taught as a graduate student instructor at the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Vincent also worked in the Prime Brokerage division at J.P. Morgan before completing his Masters.
Sarafa holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan and a Master of Accounting degree with High Distinction from the Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. While at Michigan, Sarafa was also a three-time Varsity Letterman in Baseball and was a member of the 2008 Big Ten Championship team.
